Hey y'all!
I saw my Endocrinologist this week. That's starting to be such a naughty word lol. While my levels are normal and I feel my new normal of "fine," I'm fat. Most people look at me and say you aren't fat, a little bit of weight looks good on you. I'm the heaviest I have ever been in MY life and I don't like it. Not one bit. My neck is slowly disappearing. I can't let it leave me!
What does my Endo say? The next time I come back I need to be AT LEAST 10 pounds lighter. He also maintains that my weight gain is a direct result of my snacking and has nothing to do with my no longer having a thyroid. I call BULLSHIT (sorry mom)!
I have NEVER had an issue with losing weight. Ever. Now though, it seems like the more I try, the more I gain. I'm eating 80% better than I normally do. I'm about to get some exercise in rotation. In my previous life, all I would have to do is change the way I eat and the weight would literally fall off. I have to adjust to this new life.
I'm still taking Synthroid and Cytomel. Aside from going back into "hyper" mode with my last change, I feel alright. Just tired. But I'm attributing that to the extra 41 pounds I'm carrying. Yep 41 pounds. Oh and even though I was technically in hyperthyroidism for like 3 months, I still didn't lose any weight.
I know the older I get the harder it will be to lose. So I'm buckling down and getting my act together. Not following any particular "diet," just making better choices and watching my portions. Hopefully getting more physical activity will help my cause!
I'll keep you posted. Unless I get fatter. Then no, I'm not telling you!
XOXO
